Conyers said in a statement read Tuesday on the floor of the House that he was resigning “to preserve my legacy and good name.”

Even stranger about Conyers, the women of Congress AND the press, we're somewhat complicit....
It was a known fact, and they told all the new female press members and producers, to never get in an elevator with Conyers....

Doesn't look like there will be time for an ethics review.
"Ten Democratic senators are urging Sen. Al Franken to resign amid sexual misconduct allegations.
After the resignation calls, Franken's office said the senator would make an announcement on Thursday."

If Franken resigns the dems will think they can use it as pressure right before the Alabama Senate race. I hope they try it. Maybe they'll forget how much Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer are hated in the south. They helped Ossoff lose in Georgia, bigly.

Correction, 14 Democrat senators and the DNC chief call for Franken's resignation.
This is like when 2-3 hyenas grab ahold of the cape buffalo and all the rest clamp on bringing it down.
https://www.cnbc.com/2017/12/06/another ... es-it.htmlIn a succession of statements Wednesday, 14 of Franken's Senate Democratic colleagues — nearly a third of the party's caucus — pushed for him to step down. Among them was Patty Murray of Washington, the third-ranking Senate Democrat.
Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez also tweeted that Franken should step down.

Warren Moon now...

So Good ol' Al Fell on the proverbial sword just so the Democrats could say "Hey, we stepped down without due process, but look at Moore and the President!"
Innocent until proven guilty...

https://www.seattletimes.com/nation-wor ... he-senate/Franken's out. No surprise this comes days ahead of the Alabama Senate race.
Of course there are huge differences:
-Franken has admitted his sexual assaults and there is photographic evidence.
-Roy Moore denies the allegations and there is no evidence.
Hopefully Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi start doing robocalls for Doug Jones in Alabama.

It's pretty hard to deny anything, AFTER you said you did... said you're sorry... and have documented proof of you being a creep.

He finally realized SNL doesn't qualify you to be a senator? Good for him.
