Gonna cost me $.50 to send a check for a dollar and it probably cost $20 to generate the notice.

Thanks for reminding me, and they tax food.
They did cancel the taxation of military retirement income.

Lol.

Sorry, wasn’t meant as a dig.

It’s just when someone points to cheap taxation in one area, a state makes up for it another way.

All states have their hand in your wallet, it’s just that some make you think they’re better.

Good: The company I used to work for, that I told would go out of business because of how they treated their employees... actually went out of business...

Bad: I can't even chalk it up as a victory, because the cunts had a company-wide conference call this morning, and basically told ALL the employees 'we don't exist, you don't work for us'... That's it. No warning. No notice. Nothing.

Website? Gone.
FB page? Gone.
Corporate phone #? Gone.
Customer support phone #? Gone.
Corp email? GONE.
Employee email? GONE.

Not only are they fucking over all their employees, they're doing it right after the busiest sales day, which means they're probably not going to pay out all the commissions they're owed. Even worse, is there's now zero customer support, so any money taken in for pre-orders and the like is now in la-la land, as all pre-orders have been supposedly cancelled.

They basically flipped a switch, and fucked over their entire workforce, in addition to untold numbers of customers.

We're talking 5-6 people, at EVERY Costco in the country... We're talking about 3K people, woke up today, realizing they won't have a job tomorrow, and Christmas only a couple weeks away, and pay they probably won't see, due to commission owed from previous sales.

Here’s a saved copy of the conference call:

And of course there’s Reddit:

Bad: It was -22 here yesterday. All the way up to 5 today. Pumphouse still has liquid water, but it's not quite getting to the house (trickle). So off to a friend's to do laundry and take showers. We were supposed to leave today for W WA but I won't leave a potential broken leaky pipe behind.

Good: Picked up an AK (a Century VSKA Classic Tactical) and a Glock frame to get my P80 project actually working. Didn't want to go the serialized route, but also don't like guns that don't work well. I'm in the market for a Gen3 factory slide (full size 17/22/31) which seems to work fine with the P80, just not the aftermarket one.

I was just going to post in the pissed thread.
Yesterday at Wallyworld, I passed by the dairy section and glanced at the eggs. WTF $22 @ 5doz.
I thought the bad LSD trips were back again. icon_eek

Yeah --- eggs AND milk are horrendous right now --- no way I'm paying $3 for a dozen eggs or $4-5 for a gallon of milk. Thankfully - SW has given me a 'just for u' for $1.89/doz for eggs --- I've got 1.5 doz right now, but I'm thinking I should grab another before the deal goes away....
