Good: Perp shot.
Bad: Too bad it wasn't a couple of inches over.

"BOERNE, Texas (WOAI/KABB) — A woman who broke into an elderly couple’s home and was shot in the ear by one of the homeowners will spend 20 years in prison.

Fabiola Martinez was convicted and sentenced last week for breaking into a Boerne home in June of 2019.

During her trial in Kendall County, prosecutors revealed Martinez bought a power drill, duct tape and a folding knife before taking an Uber to the victims’ home and forcing her way inside. One of the 71-year-old homeowners scared her off by shooting at her. She was captured nearby suffering from a gunshot wound to the ear."

ETA: She took an Uber ride to the house. :facepalm2:

Usually a gunshot in the ear results in an indefinite dirt nap... Perp was pretty lucky on this one.
Don't mess with Texas... it's not just about littering :ROFLMAO:

Good news:
Going skiing at Purgatory near Durango in southwestern Colorado at the end of March for a week (5 days skiing)
Taking the family to enjoy the slopes and we'll spend some down time in Ouray or Durango soaking in the local hot springs and dining out. First time ever skiing anywhere in the Rockies.

Bad news:
15 hour drive to get there since we're living 'Deep in the Heart of Texas'. We can manage that in a single very long day driving starting about 3am. We'll be sore as all get out arriving at the resort though in the evening. In general though looking forward to the road trip through New Mexico and Colorado.

Found a rathole leading under the house yesterday.

The good news, put 2 rat traps into the crawl space, and already got a pair of mature adults. Both male and female.

Good: Moving
Bad: Moving

Good: We are getting rid of a LOT of "stuff"
Bad: Wife, Former H.I.M. super organizer of Japanese fame, damn that woman has an odd way of filing stuff. And when I tell her, "all this type of thing belongs together", she barks and says "don't tell me, just label it". Yes boss!

Uh-oh . . . you stripped the screw head on the Romeo Zero? That sucks.

Well, at least you don't need to remove it to change the battery, right? :rofl9:

^What are we looking at here? Won't go into battery, a stripped optic mounting screw, or...?

Ohhhh yes. Good eye. thumbsup

Mr. Q, just break another one off and make them match. The silver spot is kinda cool-looking.
