I have to switch it around to bad news - good news.....

Bad - had to buy warm beer the other day --- no biggy - figured I'd empty out the icemaker of old freezer burned ice (I haven't been using any ice for quite some time). Chilled my beer after emptying the ice bin..... waiting a while..... icemaker not cycling ---- dammit. Waited till morning - still not cycling - F***me - icemaker crapped out :cussing: Hoping that a defrost cycle would get it going again.... wait two days --- nope.

Good - last night after a couple of frostys I decided to look into the icemaker --- switch 'seemed' OK - checked rotating cube ejectors ---- wouldn't budge.... Feeling across the cube tray, I found a cube stuck in the 'claws' - wrangled it out ---- within 30 seconds I could hear the whirring of the ejector motor and water flowing!!!! :thumbsup2: :thumbsup2: :thumbsup2: Woke up this morning to a half full bin of ice :thumbsup2:

For some reason I was REALLY bummed that the ice maker stopped even tho I don't use ice all that much.... Its so nice to have it right there when you want it.

Me and icemakers have a history. Don't get me started on the door variety.

Man.... its nice to hear the sound of cubes dropping in the ice maker again....... :thumbsup2:
Its really LOUD when its empty!

Makes me wonder how long the cube ejector has been jammed..... I'm pretty certain that the switch was in the ON position all this time. I'm glad it didn't burn out the motor!

Went to Lowes to grab a 230 piece craftsman tool set that they said they had in stock..

Bad news: Not in stock...probably had them stolen...so inventory is off.

Good news: Mgr marked down a Craftsman 296pc set with toolbox from like $300 down to $129...

They rent them With fake id because the people that work at u-haul don't get paid shit and don't care.

U-haul doesn't report the truck stolen until it is 30 days past due from its rental period.

So, may keep the truck for a couple of weeks, and then sell it to someone usually for drugs or a couple 100 bucks to run or do whatever and then it just basically gets passed around until someone decides to strip all the details off put fake license plates on it and eventually a year or 2 later it's recovered.

Heck of a deal

I picked up a ~180 piece dewalt set at Costco for $100 a couple months ago just to leave in the truck

Hey old man, you failed to translate the rest.

Adding a remote low cost Thermostat to my built in fireplace. The builder just had a manual switch in a 2-gang box (don't go THERE, Mr Hip) next to the fireplace overhead lighting switch. I have done this to two previous houses - replace the switch with t-stat (you know, temperature controlled switch). Most all these system are called millivolt systems, because they operate in the 650-750mv range. Honeywell does a shit job of marketing and labeling their packaged products, but not anywhere does this piece of crap say it's for 24 V systems only. Just says NOT for use in 120-240V control. Idiots.

Of course the Home Despot idiot said it would work, useless young fool. No training.

I went to my usual source, like most old fckers who can't get out: https://smile.amazon.com/Honeywell-CT33 ... B000FPCERM
