Good news! The Colorado Mesa Mavericks were invited to their first final 8 playoffs to the National Championship (D2) for Lacrosse! THey finished Sat with a close win over rival Westminister 10-9. Bad news: They only travel with 30 players (from a roster of 51) and it's highly unlikely my son will travel with the team as a freshman. But, he's very thankful and said he feels "blessed" to be part of all of this history for the team. He played in 8 out of 19 games, scored his first NCAA goal and had a great year for a freshman! https://www.ncaa.com/news/lacrosse-men/ ... selectionsHere is my son (#19) coming out of the 'tunnel' as a starter once this year. They were playing a crappy team so they let him start as a defensement. :)

Good: Finished my work in Maine two days early. Rebooked flights with decent seats. Bad: JFK all effd up, would likely leave me stranded overnight in NYC with a firearm to declare so I rebooked for the next morning and ended up in business class all the way home. Early morning flight cancelled after I got up at 04:00. Won’t get home until late tonight.
Good: Got the airport hotel for per diem rate and the lounge had Glenmorangie single malt on special for $5. Automatically rebooked with even better seats.

I get stranded at jfk or lga about 40% of the time I transfer there, I’ve had to rent a car and drive out of state to fly out many times!

Bad News : The lawnmower crapped out all at once... The one remaining drive wheel that had gear teeth stripped out, so no more self-propelled. The blade bent when I hit a rut, so I straightened it, only to find that the vibration that accompanied the bent blade was still there, so bent crankshaft. The gas cap split/separated when I checked the gas as I was working on it.
Good News : Probably no more mowing for awhile. By the time I can afford to divert money from the house building fund to buy a new mower, it'll be a tall field and mowing with a tractor.
The Dread Princess Morgoth asked me what my plans were regarding mowing, and I said "Can the Balrog graze?" More bad news - celibacy time.

Rix86 wrote: Short or long shaft mower engine? I have a spare long shaft I appreciate that Rix, but there is too much wrong with this mower to get into it. Being a self-propelled with stripped gearing, it's a PITA to push around. At least for a broke down old guy like me. Also, since I was incel'd by the Dread Princess today, I have a spare long shaft too.

If you get stranded in NYC, you want to immediately have the airlines HOLD your baggage if you check into a hotel room. Do not EVER check into a hotel with a firearm in your bag. They know you have one based on data mining from pax info that the police perform on a daily batch job.
Otherwise, we'll be reading about you in Fox News.
