Good news. I was mightily entertained yesterday afternoon watching this guy:
 This rat would pop under the fence, stand for a few seconds to make sure it was safe, then run down to the bird feeder, grab a mouthful of seed from the ground, and jet back to safety behind the fence. About 30 seconds later, he would repeat the process. Over, and over, and over again -- I probably saw him do it 50 times at least. The bad news: I have a rat in the backyard. I don't care too much about that, but it's too close to the house for comfort. For the last couple of days we have had jets - as in F15's & 22's flying overhead... EXTREMLY LOW and FAST.
Now I like jets, military stuff but gawd damn, I live pretty much in the city limits far, far away from any flight path and the air base is 40 miles away. Dead silence and then 105db blasting by.
