Don't give them ideas They'll come up with a scheme to take a minute or two away from you per day and promise to give it back to you after you retire, but only if you stay in WA, and only three minutes per week, with a lifetime cap of 4 hours

https://youtu.be/Srt3amEijRU?si=6PuAjrUHFKRtEagj Forbes does a good job explaining why we haven’t switched over to full time DST. Blame it on the Feds. Never attached anything before, hope it works.

For some reason, both parties haven't done the simple thing of passing legislation to allow the states to decide. The latest poll shows over 63% would prefer to get rid of the stupid fall back and spring forward and just remain on DST permanently. But without Congress passing the legislation states cannot make the switch.
Talk about dumb things Congress hasn't done.

If states can’t decide, how did AZ get around it?

This whole thing just goes to show that the .gov can't/won't agree on anything. It's a simple yes or no vote. It doesn't get any easier. None of them won't vote on it probably because they haven't made any money off of it.

The state did pass the legislation to eliminate or the other. I think to stay on standard time. However that one requires approval from Congress. To stay on Daylight Savings Time, like Arizona, the state can do it on their own.
I might have PST and PDT reversed, but whichever we did is the one that needs Congressional approval, and the one Arizona did is the other one.
