The difference with that an other uses is that the flag of Nazi Gernamy adapted the symbol to their use. In my opinion, it's not the same. Although today, it's different enough that I believe it would be judged as a trademark infringement if it's design and use was the subject of a law suit. Back to the "confederate flag". Sadly, many people don't know which flag they are flying. It's worth the conversation to ask "Which flag are you flying?"I assume there's a right answer and a wrong answer to that question. If they answer, "The one that makes liberals' heads explode," is that right or wrong? I'm not trying to make light of any negative experiences you yourself have had, but here in the far north (by which I mean this state) pissing off libs is not an unheard of reason to fly what is commonly referred to as the Confederate flag. For good or for ill, most previous meanings associated with that flag are being lost to time.

My maternal grandmother was a Daughter of the Confederacy raised in Virginia. Active in civil rights 50's, 60's Detroit. Don't think she owned a Confederate flag, unless she hid it down in the basement or something.

There are multiple flags that people fly and don't know which one they are really flying. The same goes for the observers who just say "it's a confederate flag". They're both ignorant.

From time-to-time when I was in attendance at the UW in the halls I would pass a young black male who wore a Confederate infantry hat complete with flag and crossed rifles emblem.
I figured he had gone to Gettysburg and it was a souvenir.

I glanced at the actual article about this in Seattle times. More less they blamed Trump. The mind reels.

I fly the Navy Jack in my shop. Somehow the yellow in other flags absolutely makes liberals go absolutely (more) nuts. They really don't know history.
