Thanks for the info, I just cancelled my rental for the end of March with Enterprise and sent them an email explaining why.

Has anyone here received a lower rental rate with the former discount offered to members of the NRA? Anytime I applied their discount the rate was still higher than booking through one of my credit cards. Surely I cannot be the only person to have this experience. Also, why boycott them just because they no longer offer discounts to the membership?

And thus continues the marginalization, ostracization, and persecution of law-abiding gun owners. I don’t know when it will end, but i think I know how it will end, and it won't be pretty.

Its all a media ploy.

It's not about the discount itself; it's about the motive for cancelling it and the message it's designed to convey. This was purely politically motivated, and it was intended to be a shot at supporters of the 2A.

It's more about the underlying message and that they are catering to the anti-gun crowd. That's enough reason for me to rent elsewhere.

Maybe all the NRA members should fire back with a boycott. 5 million possible members boycotting them sounds fair .

I actually wish NRA wouldn't bother having these relationships. I didn't join for discounts, or wine or life insurance.
The press (mouthpiece of the ignorant and scheming) makes the NRA sound like some kind of thug organization. Sad, and funny.

Pablo raises a good point. Out of all the NRA member benefits, the ArmsCare supplementary insurance coverage has been the only one I've ever availed myself of. My main reason for membership will always be their defense of 2A rights across the nation.

That only leaves 318 million other people in the USA to vote with their own dollars also. It's not about numbers...it's about principle. Spend and vote how you want, I myself, choose to patronize businesses, and organizations that I feel have my principles and interests in common. Same as I vote, for those that I feel will best represent my views and or concerns. The companies that are jumping on the Anti NRA train...won't see any of my money if I can help it. Same as politicians...vote against MY positions or what I feel is important to me...(heavy on 2A) then you won't get my vote. I find it ironic that those that vote Dem or Lib and are gun owners/supporters are having to try to sort out how to deal with their antigun representatives. Who clearly aren't supporting any PRO 2A issues. On the contrary...they are pushing ANTI 2A legislation with a fervor. How do gun owning Dem's reconcile that? I can boycott any company I choose, for whatever reason. I'm only 1 guy though, that follows his conscience.
