Also, a few days ago I read where some of the finest farms in SA, that are listed for sale, have been given offers of 10 cents on the dollar.
Building up a farm out of nothing for what 3 or 4 generations, and now very productive, and get 10 cents on the dollar?
Fight or flight? Crappy situation all the way around.
At least in 20 years we will be witnessing another country in general chaos and starvation, that will be the new South Africa.

https://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2018/08/22/donald-trump-tackles-murder-expropriation-of-white-farmers-in-south-africa/Quote: President Donald Trump tweeted Wednesday evening that his administration would begin studying the murder and expropriation of white farmers in South Africa. As Breitbart News reported earlier this week, the South African government had begun seizing the first white-owned farms under a new policy that rejects the principle of “willing buyer, willing seller” in favor of expropriation without compensation. The goal is to accelerate land reform, which has proceeded at a slow pace since the end of apartheid in 1994.
“I have asked Secretary of State @SecPompeo to closely study the South Africa land and farm seizures and expropriations and the large scale killing of farmers,” Trump tweeted. He added, “South African Government is now seizing land from white farmers” — an apparent reference to a report by Tucker Carlson on Fox News. i don't have the Twatter, i wonder what the libs' response is... Quote: The State Department had provided a statement to Fox News: “We are aware of these reports, and have been following this issue very closely for some time. South Africa is a strong democracy with resilient institutions, including a free press and an independent judiciary. South Africans are grappling with the difficult issue of land reform through an open process, including public hearings, broad-based consultations, and active civil society engagement. President [Cyril] Ramaphosa has pledged that the land reform process will follow the rule of law, and its implementation will not adversely affect economic growth, agricultural production, or food security.” what a crock of shit...

Not to justify any of what is going, due to this land never belonging to the people demanding it back, but part of this is retaliation for apartheid. That was a fucked up deal.

under apartheid the population of blacks in SA rose something like 800% (correct me if i'm wrong) i wonder if the commies would want to willingly reduce that, because it was "ill-gotten" ya know...

I don't know about the population numbers, but there was nothing good about many of the police actions in SA. A lot of innocent people died for bullshit reasons. Am I saying this justifies current land confiscation? NO.

I've had discussions with people on the left. They see racial and sex discrimination, ala affirmative action as 'equality'.. I've walked them into a logical trap before 'So, what do you think if someone was hired because of their race, or because of their sex, do you think that's right?'... and of course, they always answer 'no'... Then I'll state that they don't support affirmative action, and I get 'that's different'..... I even phrased it as such 'Affirmative action is the belief that the cure for discrimination is more discrimination, how can one ever be equal if someone is getting preferential treatment?' They always say it's 'equality' ...or 'it's making up for xyz, it's their turn to be discriminated against', etc. Just like a black man says 'kill white babies' and no one says a word, but a white man says 'we need to secure our borders' and OMGZ RACIST!! I can guarantee the left will be cheering this as an 'oppressed minority taking back their land'....I also expect it to set an example for 'urban minority communities' to follow.....sowing a further racial divide with people thinking they're owed something...

Of all places that I would NOT want to be in the next decade or so, SA is right up there. I've seen enough to be confident that the whiplash that is coming is going to be horrid. It doesn't take very many people to really mess things up in a major way and in a frightful hurry.

Agreed with a lot here... The challenge is, a lot of wrongs have been done to people of color, women, etc., ....as far as the work place & opportunities.... In the 70's & 80's, many laws were changed or enacted, to level the playing field affirmative action, NCAA rules for female sports, etc.).... But in the 90's & 00's, many new laws and rules were enacted saying ANY discriminatIon was illegal. So, if any discrimination is immoral and illegal, it should be applied unilaterally, otherwise it's not law, it's a hopeful philosophy at best. You can't make up for atrocities from 20-100 years ago, by hurting people who weren't even born yet, who may never have benefited from the 'favoritism' claimed....

SA's neighbor to the north, Zimbabwe, is an example of what is likely to occur. When Mugabe was replaced in an internal coup, the new communist military dictator wasted no time assuring the remaining white farmers that there would be no more land confiscation. Before the fall of Rhodesia, the country was the most prosperous in Africa. Now a third of the population lives in refugee camps is other neighboring shit holes due to famine.

Holy smokes. "The formula applied back then left a lot of bad feelings..." The Zambia .Gov spokesman talking about how farmers had been burned out of their homes.
