Honestly I am a fan of these unmarked rigs, realizing I just set myself up to get pulled over by one. This state has a fuckton of shitty and overly aggressive drivers, case in point the thread elsewhere on this forum where a young lady had to kill a road rage guy attacking her... They need to be culled as quickly as possible and these "hot rod" unmarked cars are perfect for that and normally used for aggressive driving patrols. Don't speed, don't drive like a tool and you will not have a problem.

The antennas are the easy way to spot them, if you know what you're looking for. They look like low profile satellite antennas, but with a big whip instead of a small one.... Attachment: antennawsp.jpg Attachment: antennawsp2.jpg Attachment: antennawsp3.jpg

There used to be a white Volvo on 405 during rush hour. It was a WSP vehicle but no markings and the plates looked just like normal plates. This was ten years ago so I’m sure it has changed.

People wouldn’t drive aggressively if it weren’t for those “I’m going to police the way you drive” people driving 60.00000mph in the left hand lane. They can go fuck themselves. [emoji23]

TW hit it right. Only WSP can conduct traffic duty unmarked. As Jaime mentioned they had a white Volvo, I've seen a black f-150, they used to have an early 2000's camaro, etc.
If you're stopped by an unmarked car on a non state arterial you either did something pretty bad and caught the attention of a detective, or you have a case for dismissal of your ticket.

‘This section shall not apply to vehicles of a sheriff’s office, local police department, OR any vehicles used by local peace officers under public authority for special undercover or confidential investigative purposes'
They're claiming that line exempts SO/PD vehicles, AND further exempts vehicles used for undercover/surveillance operation, even if not owned by the agency.
Detractors claim that it applies to vehicles used for undercover/confidential use, clarifying that it covers all vehicles even if not owned by SO/PD.
It's one of those 'It depends on what your definition of 'is' is'.

Out here on Hwy 26 in Whitman county we have 2 unmarked WSP cars that I know of for sure and one is a Dark grey Charger. Also a Silver SUV I see lots of WSU students pulled over.

8-10 years ago cops on foot would patrol the Westbound Microsoft exit off 520 looking for drivers taking an illegal left turn. Used to see 4-5 of them at a time walk up and knock on drivers windows for driving on the left shoulder (majority of the traffic was turning right so they made their own lane).

I've seen an unmarked F150 Ford and unmarked Ford Explorer on Hwy 18 between 167 and I-90.
That said, I use the WAZE app. In most cases around large metropolitan areas, it notifies you of police ahead (alot with hazards, potholes, etc) but it is dependent on user input which is easy to do with 2 presses on the screen while driving. I have my cell set up hands free and you can still legally press the screen while driving, just don't hold it in your hand.
If more people use this app, more of us are spared tickets. :)
Interstate travel, well WA waze users are very active between here and Spokane, once you get into ID and MT, not so much. Active Waze users going down through OR and CA too.

Explain this one. About five or six years ago southbound I5 between Cabella's and Martin way exit I see two marked WSP and one 1973(?) Chevy Suburban, two tone, lowered, with nice wheels WITH FLASHING RED & BLUES on all four corners! There was a normal car there as well.
