They don't happen is the thing. How many fender benders are reported for non self driving cars? How often? There are stories of the cars going off the rails... WHEN ITS A PERSON DRIVING IT. This is literally the first fatality in over several years of development.

You are self admittedly not versed in the subject, yet you are saying that the tech doesn't work. When in fact it is FACTUALLY and ACTUALLY provable otherwise. Self driving cars are going to be a thing, and they are incredibly safe. Why should anyone listen to YOU when you say it is unsafe? Should we listen to someone who cant shoot an AR15 on how to regulate firearms? Seriously man.

Also, you realize that there was a person in there, right? They have backup drivers. I will wait for the report to show that the CAR started breaking before the backup driver did, yet because of that pesky inertia thing she still got hit. Why would the company be liable, anymore than the driver of any other car? Accidents happen.
