Sis was just up here with the rv towing their newer gmc equinox that has all the lane assist/crash avoidance/nanny bullshit.... at first seemed kinda cool driving around in it.... but then you start seeing the shortcomings..... BiL said that it will apply brakes for weird shit - like strips of fresh asphalt across the driving lane on the road (he pointed it out while we were driving several times).... No thankyou for that shit. Whats funny is the bickering that goes on when the lane assist flashes --- 'stop making it beep!!!!' -- seemed like it would flash and beep when you weren't really that far over in the lane.

Gotta wonder if you assume more liability in an accident if you have it disabled???? That shit would drive me crazy. Traction control and ABS piss me off enough on my 02 4runner --- I wouldn't want more nannies.
