Jesus folks. Is this really such an issue? I may be wrong, as I have been at least once before, but its my understanding its WSDOT because its Washington State Department of Transportation. It IS a STATE organization and all.

Yes. This is an issue. You cannot be an accomplished user of the English language and pronounce “WSDOT” as “wash-dot.”
