Keep in mind that if you're trying to transition, not all grains, etc. are completely bad, and not all created equal either. Home made wheat bread without all the refined crap is actually pretty good for you. Also, be careful when it comes to your meat source too. Sometimes meat carries a lot of bad stuff due to the feeding practices (and I'm not really talking disease, more imbalance in nutrients that have long term side effects on our bodies).

Good luck. I know someone who is pretty much paleo only, and it works great for her.

Damn, brother ... that’s amazing. Good for you.

Let me know when you need a new WaGuns name tag, if the old one isn’t appropriate anymore.

I've done it. Current 185lb weight loss was done with keto though.

Way to go! Keto has been a life changer for me as well, though not to that extent!

I am impressed to see so many big fellows dropping the weight.

Details on which grains are less bad? I've heard this before but haven't dug into the info yet.
I agree regarding the refined. I simply won't have a white bread in the house, but occasionally the Missus sneaks in with bagels.
Donuts? I'll probably never eat another donut in my life. Terrible death pills.

More information?
I bought half a beef that was supposedly grass-fed and healthier than store bought. I believe it was grass fed (I knew the farmer), but I also did not like the flavor at all. A whole half a beef that was turned into stew beef to hide the flavor. Irritation abounded.

WTG Brad on the progress. :thumbsup2:

I did my first round of whole 30 in July of last year, found out through it that I am sensitive to gluten and dairy. The gluten was responsible for my joint pain, who knew it could cause that! Energy level is great, I run circles around the guys in the shop 10+ years younger while they suck down energy drinks.
My wife joined me for round 2 after our cruise and now we primarily stay Paleo but will go back to whole 30 as a cleanse or reset if you will when things we shouldn't eat creep back in. We love our coffee as well and although I do enjoy black coffee we use coconut milk (aroy-d brand) and maple syrup for a little sweet.
I'm down a total of 33 pounds and feel years younger.

Milk and cream sweeten coffee by themselves as they have quite a bit of sugar in them already.
