Finishing up purchasing some items for my next build, and I want a crazy looking yet functional brake. With new designs and companies that seem to be coming out monthly I cant keep up, and I was just wondering if anyone has any experience with some new ones that actually work?

Psssssttttt..... Also, if anyone has a aftermarket charging handle for sale drop me a pm.

I have one of these from SAA:
http://www.surplusammo.com/products/saa-5-56mm-dragons-head-muzzle-brake-linear-compensator-gen-i.html
It shoves the sound forward and keeps the barrel down.
There are many clones now on ebay for less now.

The Lantac Dragon isn't new, but I'll be damned if I isn't the most effective brake I've ever owned or used. It creates a pretty fierce concussion on my 10.5" SBR, but it's not quite as bad on my 16" carbine. They also make a blast mitigation device (BMD), but I can't bring myself to pay for it.

Aero just sent an email ad about their new optimized brake. Don't have pics. Can't recall the name. Have deleted their email, but I bet it's on their website.

BTW: Sinus swears by his Heart Brake (that's a real thing)

I've got a couple medieval brakes. They work quite well.

ETA: the yhm phantom brake/comp is another I have a couple of. Hard to say which is better, but they forget between them and just a flash hider is noticable

I think this is the one Ron (old11bravo) likes. If I have indicated the right model, I can attest that it is a really effective brake as I've shot his rifle and watched, very carefully as he did. It controlled recoil quite effectively.
