Just an update to put this thread to bed. I’m still curious as to exactly what happened, but the short of it is that the offer flaked on me. One day there was a flurry of calls for travel arrangements and so forth....and then all communications just stopped cold. No answering, no returned calls...nothin. I guess they found someone else, and just didn’t want to be bothered to communicate that.

Sa la vie... I’m sorry I missed out on the opportunity, but sometimes life has its reasons for things. Maybe this was just a test to get me ready for the next opportunity?

Sorry that the opportunity fell through. That's really weird and unprofessional on their part for things to go from so hot to so cold that suddenly with no meaningful communication as to reason why. Pretty flaky.
