Well, the cause of the overall issue is terrible public policies.

However, I also don't think a person is entitled to "self help" and throwing someone's personal property in the trash OR IN THE LAKE (which would be pollution, and just moving the "garbage" into the water). And apparently he threw a phone away...

Felony is probably harsh, but this is someones property whether you think it's garbage or not.

Two wrongs don't make a right folks. Just because this bum is maybe violating the laws, doesn't mean you're in the right to then violate his rights.

yeah... he threw my cell phone away... and I had diamond earrings in that trash too... oh and all my bearers bonds worth several tens of thousands... and an heirloom Rolex that Guntrader gave to me....

throwing the stuff in the lake was the worst part of this. The we'll all end up buying the guy another Obama-phone, shoes, blankets and etc. He'll steal more stuff to sleep in/on/under. Just the cost of his weekly shot of Narcan should offset the loss. (I know... I'm profilin')
