No prob! It starts small. I know this is a losing battle and will likely be passed in a landslide, but if they are
In a public forum I should Be allowed to Ask Questions and raise points. I didn’t intend to make a scene, and really didn’t. If I can be completely Honest I wanted to study the enemy and see how they think. They literally couldn’t / didn’t answer
A single question such as where

From. All semi auto? Semi auto rifle? Caliber? Shotgun? Pump shotgun? Every single clarifying question I asked was danced around or ignored.

I was accosted at the Puyallup farmers market. I asked if they had ever seen an 1173 form. Just got a blank look. I then offered to google it for them. They just walked away.

Ha! Yeah when the guy in blue tank was lecturing me on how assault rifles kill children (yet he owns an “AK”?) I brought up selector switch, NFA, form 4, trust etc you could just see it go right back out of his head.

For the most part, the signature gatherers don't give a rat's ass about the issue and only know enough about it to gin up excitement for signing.
I'm guessing the signature collectors understand that they don't know enough about issues to engage in a debate and that by doing so it would detract from their time and ability to stuff the clipboard under someone else's nose for another $ignature.
You want to engage the people who are considering SIGNING. Or the manager of the facility if they are going to help shut the effort down.

Sad thing is, I was waiting in the truck with my fur girl for a good while and watched a downright scary amount of old white ladies lining up to sign it. Debbie homemaker types

One guy who seemed on the fence was talking with the military guy when I left so there was positive engagement from passerby.

This is going around on NextDoor here in Bellevue. A lovely neighbour of mine posted a long bit about how she'd bring you petitions to have signed at your "church, family, and social functions" and then would helpfully pick them up later.
I messaged her saying that I'd love to look over the petition. Quick response, a couple of texts, and then I told her that I'd meet her Saturday at WCA. Dead silence has descended since that last text. I do fear that with the feel-good language and the "common sense" repetition, it will make it onto the ballot, and may well, like I-594, be voted into law with an assist from gun owners who fail to understand the full ramifications of the law.
