Train tour of N Korea.
Entire country seems to be filled with people just standing around all day.
Standing on lawns, streets, alongside RR tracks, in fields............. Just standing there.
But nobody is working................ Crazy shit.

Oh, and kids climb on stationary amusement park rides, no electricity.

Reminds me of childhood train trips in USSR... just replace rice paddys with wheat, corn, potato fields, lol
newer buildings in the cities, old and run down in the country
portraits of Lenin everywhere...
lots of military garrisons along railroad routes
post WW2 era vehicles everywhere, people are not in the hurry to work when they work for the government that treats them like shit...
the "standing around" you see is a lot of soldiers working on tracks, they're just standing up to gawk at a passing train and also to catch a break, civilians are waiting for the train to pass by so they can cross the tracks to get to wherever they are going, you'll see goat paths zig-zagging everywhere and leading to cross the tracks at random. also lots of civilians standing around at what looks to be train stations in smaller cities/villages - they have commuter trains stopping there, they're just waiting for those, the train that this tourist is on is probably an "express" type train that does not make stops in small towns
