Safest Way To Transport

Sun Jun 24, 2018 3:28 pm

As you all know I am on my way to Okie. My plan is to put my guns in my Outback, and cover them with miscellaneous crap. My friend thinks they would be better in the trailer.
Thoughts?

Do you already have a home or a place of residency there? (Sorry I haven’t seen a thread if you have one). If it was me, I would mail them to myself or where ever I’m going if I had someone I knew trusted type deal.

rent an RV and sleep with them, cars and trucks loaded with peoples stuff while moving are a huge target for thieves....after all why break into a house when the good stuff is already packed up for you?

I have a place already, and I bought the most heavy duty locks for the trailer available. If any body wants to pay for an RV that can pull my car, and trailer feel free to pay pal me. Same for mailing them. Handguns must go FFL to FFL. So Daddy War bucks feel free to donate.

Unless your kid drives the car behind you... you both take a road trip and both stay in the RV at night.
Then when you get to OK, you drive your kid to the RR or Greyhound station and he goes home.
Not a huge added expense since you won't have a night(s) at a motel and you and the kid get a vacation together.

In any event, I vote car. It has an alarm, no?

Yes, it has an alarm and locator. You have a spare kid that drives, and you willing to pay for the RV? I'm solo.
Dig them out, and bring 20 guns in?

I got an idea. WAGUNS convoy with rotating guard shifts.

Just do it all in one go, Chuck. 30 hours, you can do it!

I love a road trip! And I'll bring cupcakes, so Steve will come.

What size is the trailer? Maybe set up a bed in the trailer? It is only for a couple of nights...

Seriously, leaving them in the car or trailer while you are in the motel is a really bad idea, just do a google search and you will find plenty of examples

and oh yeah, just 20 guns? what are you new or something?
