Forgive if this was previously posted.
The B52 was disassembled, moved along I405 to Boeing Field. Incredible.

When my kids were in CAP they had open access at night to the entire Paul Allen museum in Everett, but only when their Colonel was present. Have taken relatives and friends to The Boeing Museum of Flight many times throughout the years. Great show.

When I wasn't working I heard about free museum day. I figured I'd go to Museum of Flight, which I've been to at least 3 times now. I'd go alone, take my time. Break for lunch and then come back. Enjoy a hurry free day of looking at things I wanted to look at. Reading the signs. There is so much to look at.
Free day is on a Thursday, so I figured crowds would be light. Turns out it's only 5pm-9pm. Fuck that shit.
I never ended up going. I still want to. To take the time to really look at and appreciate the effort that went into building a plane like this. Seeing this post, and the linked post on how they disassembled it, really gives you an appreciation for the time and effort that goes into setting up the museum.
It's still on my list of things to do, but I'd probably have to take some random day off work to do it. Pretty expensive museum visit.

Wow!
And my favorite Boeing jet, one that I never worked on directly or indirectly (I did work indirectly on the 707, digitizing the blueprints from the 50's for archive storage)
Wish I'd known about this happening, I'd have been there! Guess I should read my membership newsletters.

Someone here generously gave me some free entry tickets and I somehow lost them! GRRRRR
