RIP sir.
Left his family quite a good inheritance with the shop too.
A life lived well.
The Old Man started the actual pawn shop as an equal partner with his bald son Rick.
It was his son Rick's idea to start the show, that Rick had been trying to sell as a TV show pilot for years.
The vast majority of their income came from doing the show, with Rick getting most of it as star and creator.
Chumlee makes well over a $Million/year from his acting role in the show.
As shown by his arrest for meth, rape, and firearm charges in his Vegas 'party house', Rick intervened and got him a hard hitting defense attorney because the network was going to drop the show if Chumlee was convicted.
There is a real pawn shop owned by The Harrison's in Vegas, but they deal mainly in toaster ovens, drills, rings, lawn mowers, and usual pawn shop shit.
What you see on TV has been filmed on a sound stage for several years, where people meet outside with segment producers and assistants before hand and hawk their stories and stuff to "sell".
RIP Old Man
