Once again not a gun issue, but a mental health issue.

This proves a point that I've made before....
Someone will find a way, no matter how many laws you enact.
It was said he used a shotgun, 'cause that's all he could get.
If he couldn't get that, he would have disabled the exits & set it on fire, or found a way to poison the air intake, etc., ....
The point is, they'll always find a way....
You can't legislate evil out of a tarnished mind....

What's left to "ban" in these states?? They've promised with every ban, folks would be safer. In reality, folks are no more safe. One of the employees hid under a desk and tweeted instead of being able to fight back.
They've banned concealed carry, "assault weapons," magazines with 11+ rounds, and whole classes of pistols and rifles.
Now it's clear that evil folks will still do evil things.

Dude mutilated his fingers so they couldn't ID him...
They had to use facial recognition.
Let that sink in...

a few quotes from Jeff Cooper, it seems that he (along with most of us) had this figured out a long time ago
"One cannot legislate the maniacs off the street ... these maniacs can only be shut down by an armed citizenry. Indeed bad things can happen in nations where the citizenry is armed, but not as bad as those which seem to be threatening our disarmed citizenry in this country at this time."
"The police cannot protect the citizen at this stage of our development, and they cannot even protect themselves in many cases. It is up to the private citizen to protect himself and his family, and this is not only acceptable, but mandatory."
"The media insist that crime is the major concern of the American public today. In this connection they generally push the point that a disarmed society would be a crime-free society. They will not accept the truth that if you take all the guns off the street you still will have a crime problem, whereas if you take the criminals off the street you cannot have a gun problem."

WOW just WOW. More and more.....they know....... https://www.wsj.com/articles/suspect-in ... malertNEWSQuote: Capital Gazette staff were shown a photo of Jarrod W. Ramos years ago, and warned that if they ever saw him to call 911, a former editor and publisher said.
Authorities on Friday charged Mr. Ramos with five counts of first-degree murder following Thursday’s deadly attack there.
Thomas Marquardt, who led the paper when Mr. Ramos’ grudge against the Annapolis, Md., newspaper started, described the suspect as the most threatening person he ever had to deal with as a journalist. He said he asked the newspaper’s lawyers to contact the Anne Arundel County sheriff’s office to investigate what he considered obvious threats.
“Some people have said the threats were veiled, but it was pretty clear to us working there at the time,” said Mr. Marquardt, who stepped down in 2012 but continued to write for the paper. “They weren’t vague to me at all. I felt threatened the whole time.”
Mr. Marquardt said the suspect had launched a Twitter account that he directed at the newspaper and its staff. At one point, Mr. Ramos tweeted implying he wished Mr. Marquardt was dead.
“Everyone knew what he looked like,” said the 70-year-old former editor and publisher, now retired and living in Florida. “We took it very seriously.”
The gunman carried out the attack, which also injured two people, with a pump-action shotgun that police said Friday he had legally acquired. Police said evidence was found in the suspect’s home showing attack planning.
