WTF is 'Administrative Screening'? Abridge 2A/4A to get 1A?

in THIS video, at the 3:30 mark, Portland PD are saying they're doing an 'administrative screening' and anyone found with weapons will be arrested.
1. WTF is an 'administrative search', and how is it legal? I assume because you're choosing to go through, then it's considered consensual.
2. How can refusing access to a protest, be legal, if it requires that you give up your 2nd and 4th amendment rights? You can only exercise your 1A if you give up 4A and 2A? How the fuck does THAT worK?
3. If I'm past their 'checkpoint', they saying I waive my 4th amendment rights and agree to be searched? WTF? Again, public streets, how can they do that? I can just revoke consent at any time, right?
Yup, they searched all the patriot prayer guys that had the permit, didn't search any anti-fa that invaded, let anti-fa attack the patriot prayer group, then 'cancelled' the permit and declared it an unlawful assembly.
So, within 2 days, they've managed to kill a law abiding citizen, strip citizens of their 1A rights unless they agree to abrogate their 2A and 4A rights, and fail to do their job of keeping the peace so they can shut down a peaceful march turned violent because of their inaction, AND only searched the peaceful people while allowing the troublemakers in to do whatever they want....

Ya know, if you keep occupying your time by watching/reading negative content, its only going to make your outlook/attitude even worse.
If I was in your shoes, I would find as much positive/productive content to surround yourself with as you can.

Looks like they were making sure everybody who was going to the "peaceful rally" didn't have any weapons? If you look, it was a checkpoint / gate.
As far as the protest, was a permit filed? was it a planned event? did the event coordinators work with police to have this happen? Have ANY more details other than a quick audio blurb off of a youtube video?

The Patriot Prayer group had a permit. The antifa terrorists did not.

I have had this exact experience you describe. I was keeping up with all the news, listening to talk radio, chatting with friends. It kept getting me all riled up and pissed off. But I wasn't accomplishing anything. So I stopped. Removing the negativity from my life has made me happier. Focus on yourself, and not others.
Now just read /r/the_donald and laugh my ass off. Those guys are so funny and happy, it's amazing. Barely any negativity.

I'm aware it was a 'checkpoint'. That's my question, by what constitutional authority are they allowed to strip your 4th and 2nd rights to exercise your 1A rights, or conversely, strip your 1A if you insist on exercising your 2nd and 4th??

PPB (Portland Police Bureau) searched the patriot prayer group....Then let the Anti-fa idiots in without screening, which is why the patriot prayer group was unarmed but anti-fa had batons, bats, fireworks/smokebombs, etc.
