Starbucks complies with straw ban by using new disposable plastic lids.
Double the plastic in the landfill for the same price, er....probably bump it up 50 cents per latte for the cost increase.
Could always use paper lids instead and have people file lawsuits every week when the lids fall off and the hot coffee spills on them.
Really need to get some smarter lawmakers involved in making laws that they know a little bit about.

I stopped patronizing Starbucks years ago. As for the ban, I take plastic utensils in my lunch box. Been thinking about throwing them out my window on my way home, when I go past the their office building. They are, in my opinion, the epitome of what’s wrong with the Pacific Northwest.

Brew my own.......on the rare occasions where I make coffee, usually for guests.
DeLonghi Rialto automatic espresso/cappuccino maker. Makes really good coffee.
Starbucks used to sell them for $1,500, I got a broken one as a gift.....took me 2.5 hours to fix it.
Don't think I've ever spent a penny at Charbucks.

If I feel the need for a latte I'll stop and get a latte, don't really give a shit how much plastic is in the packaging.

So, if you're out of work, or homeless, go get a few bucks for donations, or whatever, go to the dollar store & stock up on boxes of straws, and then go sit in Starbucks with a sign that's says 'free straw for $1 donation'...

They can't kick you out anymore, so....
