Alfaro says while reports of human waste are common, this large of an amount is "not typical."

"It was the most atrocious smell I've ever smelled in San Francisco," user tusi2 said.

The user said the waste was still on the corner at 10 p.m. but by Sunday morning it was gone.

"I wouldn't say this typical," said tusi2, who has lived in the Tenderloin for two years. "I can't say I've seen anything like that. I've seen open feces, smeared feces. I commend whoever put it in a bag. It could have been much worse."

Complaints about human waste around San Francisco increased by 400 percent from 2008 to 2018, according to 311. There were more than 21,000 reports made in 2017 alone.

It's a slippery slope. How long until there's so much it starts creating a backlog of calls? They gotta call out the FD to hose the area down.....

This is a problem that we needs to be wiped, quickly.

This should be making newspapers.... Maybe not first page, cuz there are important things, maybe page #2, but we need to get this addressed or the cities are gonna go straight in the toilet..
