It was a good time. Ribs, Corn on the Cob, Salads and a whole lot more too. We got stuffed before the Fireworks. I let my 16 yo son and his 16 yo cousin shoot most of it this year, i have trained them for several years on proper handling and use of Fireworks and it went well. One uppity neighbor even came out and joined for awhile, she went home full and half drunk. So how did your night go?

Had to be up at 4 this morning, so my little brother and I went down to Greenwater in the a.m. and met all our July 4th concussive needs met via 5.56 & .308. Found out favorite private spot empty, and burned through an ammo can of each. Got 4 new rifles sighted in, and had a great day!

I'm a stickler for language, let's remember it as INDEPENDENCE DAY, the 4th of July is just another day.
We celebrate it for a reason, let's not forget it.

I went to bed at 1400EST and woke up 12 hours later. I slept through all the commotion.

Was in bed @ 9:30, with a combination of double ear pro. It was the perfect timing for my shitty roommate to find an eviction notice on his door. Neither the foreworks or the angry slamming of doors disturbed my beauty rest.

This 4th was a lazy day for us for once. We went to my Moms for lunch then just came home, grilled some Chicken, had some beverages and lit shit off. I was in bed and sound asleep by 10:30 'Merica

Went shopping for stuff for my new APT. Ate dinner at an Asian buffet. Watched "Stealth" on netflix. Went to bed.

My wife came down with a stomach bug in the afternoon on the 3rd, and it pretty much lasted all day yesterday, so I spent the day chasing around a 16-month old while trying to catch up on housework & yardwork. Got more done than I expected, and I got to spend some quality time with my daughter. Oh, and I grilled up steak, onions, and zucchini on the charcoal BBQ. Going to have the leftovers for lunch today.

We were visiting my mom in Montana. Watched the parade, went to the park and had deep fried steak. It has a quick cook for medium, and they use pitch forks which makes for a fun western visual. After that went to the local rodeo for beer and fun. My kids loved it. Came home for a quick nap, had some more food with family and guests that came over. Went to someone's house for more food, drinks, and fireworks. We had a great view to the city's show, as well as everyone else as we were at one of the highest points in town. Back home and in bed around 12ish. Everyone slept in.

Looking at possibly naked people on the beach. No fireworks. Just family and friends.

Cool picture LOG. The smoke, the flag and the reason we fight to keep our freedom, our carefree kids. Just thought that was a neat shot.

"I don't know, I was pretty drunk at the time..." Chris was back from Oki, so Dad and his wife drove up from FL. Started hauling out some old brush for the bonfire and found a yellowjacket nest - we stopped promptly Still had enough wood though Grilled at least 3 different kinds of sausage and some tasty beef bacon/cheddar burgers. Chris took out two nests of thatching ants with tannerite. As dusk fell, we did the bonfire and commenced the fireworks - not quite the show Dan had, on account of our trees, but ours was a good rival! Dad's gettin on... doesn't think he'll be coming out this way again. He brought totes of pictures, mometos, genealogy stuff for me to peruse and pass on to my boys... So, while I stayed up to dowse the firepit, he stayed up to chat a bit It was a good day
