Getting the carpets cleaned before we move in to the new house in Marysville. Who do you recommend?

I know it’s not 100% What your asking but, yourself. If you have the time it only takes 1-3 hours to clean a house depending on passes and size. I’m a freak about dirt and carpets especially since my family and I lay/play on them. I do my best to clean yearly. I also do my MIL, wife’s aunt, and my parents house so it was worth the price.

I have never used a carpet cleaning service but I have seen in their trucks and the machinery just looks bigger with longer hoses.

Do what I did. RIP it all out, and replace it with laminate/hardwood/linoleum. In my case it cost a lot since I did the whole house, but I'm so glad. As another member stated here "carpet is like a diaper that never gets changed". Eff carpet, sick of the hassel. Never again. Hell, I wouldn't mind having my house rhino-lined.

Matt- I'll be cleaning the carpets regularly until I replace them with hardwood, but I'd like an initial professional cleaning done before we move in.

Andrew- I'm ok with online reviews but greatly prefer the personal experience of people here on Waguns. My business has been referred to many members here and I like to think I've provided them with exceptional service. If I can help a member here, or the family of a member by hiring their company, I'd prefer to do that.

Chuck- Dude. I have a hardwood flooring company. It'll happen in due time, but the carpets at the new house are only 2 years old and have plenty of wear left in them. Not to mention the honey-do list at the new house is already a mile long. They'll get replaced, just not yet.

Oh, yeah forgot. Just got carried away. You should see the place. It's like a new house that I don't get to enjoy. Spent almost $9K to do the whole house.

Not sure if they'll come up to Canada for you, but we used them twice I think. Very satisfied.

In our previous place in N. Arlington, we used Chem Dry a few times. They did a good job.

But with owing several dogs and also fostering some rescue dogs over several years, we also sometimes needed to rent a Rug Doctor from the local supermarket.

The DIY Rug Doctor machine worked as well as the Chem Dry service on our opinion.

Costco had the Rug Doctor for sale and we bought one for approx the price of one Chem dry service.

Final solution for us..

I hear plugs for Alpine Specialty Cleaning all day every day on AM 770...can't say I know whether they're a good outfit or not, but they appear to have good reviews on Google, Yelp, and Facebook. Their big selling point is they just use really hot deionized water, so it's chemical-free and dries quickly. You might just give them a call and get a quote.
