Always something better to do when they show a bunch of overpaid whinny bitches on TV.

I've been around Paul on multiple occasions--not that he's a friend, just an acquaintance of sorts--and I've never seen "armed thugs" around him. Or me. He has dispatched crew from his M/V Tatoosh to help me with my S/V Courier in foul weather. He's also dispatched additional staff to escort myself and the boys over to his boat during foul and not so foul weather, while his crew members attended to the S/V Courier. He's friendly, he likes kids (or seeing kids happy?) and he's generally not someone you would look twice at if you didn't know his name. In other settings, I've never seen anyone around him that could be counted as an "armed thug". Unless you're thinking Monica Seles? She's a tiny little thing, and very sweet. Point is, you don't have to like how the man spends some (a very small sum) of his money; he's a good guy and he gives generously to others. Slamming him for supporting a political cause is fine; slamming him with slurs, trying to make him look somehow lesser than yourself, is just ugly. As for the kneeling, it didn't used to be an issue because teams were in the locker room during the anthem. I don't know why it's such a BFD now.

Paul Allen absolutely does have armed guards around him 100% of the time. I went to school with one of his former guards.

I wonder who here has personally helped load their vehicles with a few thousand rounds of ammunition. Armed guards are good for him, but regular people who don't have the money apparently aren't worth enough to be able to protect themselves. Some of that crew you saw, some of the people around him... yeah, armed guards. They are not in the locker rooms now. Instead they are disrespecting the men and women who have given their lives for those overpaid spoiled brats. No, this is not a freedom of speech thing. They are on company property on company time. If the company supports it then fine. Screw that company too.

I was looking straight in the faces of his hired goons. Just like another thread here, the one about traffic stops. Both cops & criminals know if you're carrying or not. Believe me, they were armed. The way they looked at me told me I would have been dead meat if we were outside on the street.

YES, THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT IT MEANS. How about I actually wore the damn uniform and have done funeral details? Is that good enough to satisfy you? They were in the locker room. Out of sight. Now they are in plain sight being assholes.

What gets me, is think about who you kneel for: God at church. The Queen when you are knighted. Think about what kneeling signifies: Quote: as an expression of reverence and submission
be in or assume a position in which the body is supported by a knee or the knees, as when praying or showing submission. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KneelingAll you have to do is explain to these dumb-asses what kneeling signifies and they'll stop. Kneeling before the flag and country is the ultimate sign of submission to the country. These people are so fucking stupid they don't even know what they are doing.

I get what youre saying, but you're missing the point, too... We are asked to stand and honor the flag..... The idea is that kneeling is in defiance of this request, and the respect it engenders.... I get your point, and have heard it before, but they aren't at church, nor meeting the Queen to be knighted. Context is everything.

Not only do I not have one eff to give about the NFL and their products, I know who not to patronize locally because of lame ass TV ads featuring Seahawk Neanderthals. Ripoff plumbing companies and car dealerships come to mind.
