Boy, today is full of great news. WTF does Seattle need a 113 MILLION DOLLAR frikken shark tank for. Payed by everyone in the State of Wa in one way or another. https://www.kiro7.com/news/local/city-m ... /796674016Streets full of homeless, ditches full of bum shit, tents, garbage and Hypo Needles and the City Council is gonna drop 113 million on a frikken fish tank. The Plain STUPIDITY is baffling.

Hopefully they will throw all the bums and junkies in the shark tank. Except that would probably kill the sharks.

Let them eat cake, or in this case, let the sharks eat bums.

From the article:
"Documents filed with the city council show plans for about $60 million from private donors; $19 million from federal, state, and county sources, and $34 million from the city of Seattle."
To be fair, the new attraction will bring more tourists to Seattle = more money for the city. Unlike spending on the homeless (unless they change how money is spent) which brings more homeless = more costs for the city.

Got to keep up with Tacoma! Point Defiance Zoo opens its new Aquarium, includes an expanded shark exhibit on September 7. PDZA currently has a smaller shark tank. I've taken my kids on shark dives there and its great.

The fricking city needs to clean up its act. They have numerous issues which include bums attacking visitors. Making it more attractive to visit while hiding its drug, homeless, illegal immigrant issues only opens the city to even more law suits when visitors are attacked. How much is the guy from Arizona gonna sue Seattle for for being beaten and strangled by that homeless POS a month or so ago. There have been numerous accounts of Bums attacking civilians. Most don't make it to the news. http://mynorthwest.com/1020180/homeless ... s-tourist/? Seattle is a complete total fricking shithole. This is like loaning $$ to a friend that needs money for rent and watching him use it to buy beer.

this place is a shit pit. Populations are at an all time high, taxes & tolls are at an all time high, yet they're constantly telling us there isn't enough money?! this is one of the places they're wasting it. I guarantee if you GC'd this job and not the city, you could come in at half the cost.

Need to follow the money....probably be surprised what you'd find. The Council, even as stupid and brain dead as they are, couldn't think they wouldn't get push back from the taxpayer. "State and federal funding" = State and Fed. taxpayer dollars. This pisses me off as well..... The ROI on this is evident and should move forward.

I like it too. Just one thing.
Have Jay Inslee dedicate the new shark tank from a dunk tank chair overhead.
Hundred bucks a throw to have gay Jay swimming with the fishes.
Pure fund raising gold.

Because I'll drive to Seattle to see a shark. WTFE..... I have lived here since 2010, and went to the Space Needle and the Aquarium once. All in one day. The sun started to go down and all the shitstains came out of the woodwork.
I feel skeevy just driving up 5 to go north thru that San Francisco of the PNW.

Just put all the bums in a cage/zoo and make them the attraction.
You could even put cigarette vending machines out and buy a handful of smokes and throw them over the fence and watch the losers scramble for them like chicks on scratch!

Quote from the article—
“What we’re now realizing is that the health of Puget Sound depends upon the health of the ocean,” he said. “And that’s an urgent message.“
Wait for the new taxes they are going to impose to save the ocean.
The US is the top country at reducing pollution, but the politicians in this state think our state should lead the world no matter what it costs the tax payers.

So after 30 years of doing the wrong thing and making all the wrong decisions on how the money is spent the Seattle City Council has bumbled into making a right decision on how to spend 113 million dollars?
I dont frikken think this is possible.
Theyre wrong on the tunnel
Theyre wrong on the bike share program
theyre wrong on free injection sites
theyre wrong on how to fix the homeless situation
theyre wrong on the head tax
theyre wrong on taxing surface streets because the cheap fuks in seattle wont pay the toll on the new tunnel
theyre wrong on purposely building big housing apartments with no parking for cars
theyre wrong on bike lanes that cost a million dollars a mile and impede traffic
The SLUT was a waste of money....millions wasted on a trolley to no where.
theyre wrong on taxing bullets and firearms
Theyre wrong on mandatory 15/hr
theyre wrong on using auto parking for additional restaurant seating
do I have to go on?
When's the last time they did something right...and don't tell me its 113 million for a frakin fish tank.
