This is a needed improvement because people will need to pay to drive there since there is no real public transportation to the waterfront and pay 20 bucks at least to park there, not to mention the $20 a piece for adult admission. And just like that someone just spent $200 bucks in Seattle, more if you want to shop/eat on the waterfront.
No,
Thank
You

The current aquarium sucks. It needs something to make it worthwhile. And as much as it sucks, it's still very crowded every day it's open.
It also gets money when it's closed at night because it gets rented out for private events. Proms, weddings, business meetings, awards ceremonies, a birthday party for the daughter of a wealthy guy. It does seem as if the aquarium could have paid for this itself.

Seattle aquarium in owned by the Seattle parks department, all admissions, concessions, souvenirs, catering money goes back into city, which is why the city is footing the bill for the long overdue update, they will tell you they operate at a loss but I am not sure with all the parking meters, and benefit banquets the friends of the aquarium throws to raise money. If Seattle has their way, you’re going to have to pay a toll to drive their too, for the privilege of entering their great socialist paradise comrades.

By this you mean Taxpayers....are footing the bill. And not just from the City.....State and Federal Taxpayers. Total bullshit. Like I said from my ass before....a person that cant afford gas in his car to get to work has no business buying Pachouilli Glass Art. Taxpayers cant afford a, I admit Cool, Fish tank.....pay the electric bill first. Pay all debt, clean the streets then we'll talk fancy fish tanks.

You are correct sir in a way we all pay for the privilege of having Seattle shake us down. If I had my way I’d march on Seattle with the Roman tenth legion and put everyone to the sword and feed the city council to the lions.
