Read the ruling carefully.
Because Hawaii refuses to grant license/permits for either form of carry then open carry is a protected right.
As I see it the State has to allow one or the other and can't just arbitrarily prevent either through a system of laws that prevents anyone from exercising their right.
California will be more difficult because unlike Hawaii, CA does issue permits although few, difficult, and not uniformly done.
Yes folks, the pendulum is starting to swing back the other way. The Anti's have passed too many restrictive laws and stretched their ability to deny rights beyond the breaking point. Hopefully Trump will be able to appoint another Supreme Court Justice when "Ruth Buzzy" Ginsburg decides to retire or is found sitting still so long people realize she's finally passed away.
On a separate note, time to make sure Cantwell doesn't get re-elected. The "R's" may well have a candidate with enough name recognition to give her a run for the money and being a non-presidential year maybe enough of the "Techie D's" might just not vote. With postage paid ballots starting this primary there is absolutely no excuse to not vote (although we could hope a certain group doesn't).
