Need some adult supervision. She would fit right in at the post office, or processing SOT transfers for the ATF. https://www.sfchronicle.com/news/articl ... 101363.phpSACRAMENTO — A state Department of Motor Vehicles worker slept at least three hours a day on the job for nearly four years, slowing down processing times in an agency known for its long waits, a state audit said Tuesday. According to the state auditor’s report, the DMV worker napped at her desk for an estimated 2,200 hours of work time between February 2014 and December 2017, costing the state more than $40,000. The employee’s name was not released. The employee’s supervisors failed to discipline her, despite noting in her performance evaluations that she routinely slept on the job, the audit said. In response to the audit, the DMV said it could not take disciplinary action against the employee because her behavior had not been properly documented. A warning was issued to the employee in March that she could be disciplined for future on-the-job naps.

We see news articles like this often, in the same vein, and I reeeaaaallly am just puzzled how this can even happen. It's a mystery how folks don't get disciplined and fired straight away.

The supervisors are just as incompetent as the employees. Government job. Pretty hard to get fired. Our old mailman told me it was almost impossible to get fired from the postal service unless you brought in a gun and started shooting people. If you can't get your job done or all your mail delivered, they give you less to do or make your route smaller.

Gay, Transexual or person of ethnic origin other than white.
It's the only reason I can see as to why she got away with it.
People deathly afraid of being accused as Non PC or Racist.

I mistakenly erased that first sentence. It was a hard enough post not to come across as being non PC in the first place. Still its the only explanation that makes sense. You know....logically thinking. And I'm not even close to being PC. I give 2 shits about peoples feelings. But clearly you're TRIGGERED. Oh, and Why don't you Site other instances that I talked out my ass....

Easy ladies... easy...
I defend UpDog for asking for citing because the blaming the "ethnic/gay/whatever" as a default is getting old. But I also think the talking out the "ass" took it over the edge.
I defend WaJim for asking for additional citations regarding his talking out his "ass" as well.
It's a draw, you both win. Participation trophies will be given out at the ice cream parlor.

So she worked 5 hours a day? That's almost double the rest of them?

On the fast track to supervisor. I had a neighbor down the hall when I lived in a Belltown apartment, he was the assistant manager at the Pink Elephant car wash. I asked him how he got to be the assistant manager in a week. He said that you just have to show up on time every day for a week, not get caught stealing shit from peoples cars, and they make you an assistant manager.

Sent from my ass I got a call from NOAA back in the 90's when they were on Lake City Way. Had a Novell server that was down and wanted to have it fixed. Drove out there, bad HD, "OK. Wheres the backup?" Nobody knew if there was a backup or what was actually on the drive in the first place. They said there was another group a few cubicles over that may know, but they didn't like them and wouldn't help. So about 50 federal employees just sat around doing nothing for a week before even reporting the problem to their supervisor. Which is probably what they all did even when the server was online. When they weren't faking climate change stats.
