I'm a bit disappointed in myself, and maybe the membership here that there was no thread on his Memorial service today. I was watching the Funeral procession Live and the Service for him afterwards and i thought to post but figured there must be one already. I have been following the story since last week and have learned a lot about a Good Man and a Good Cop who was taken because of the stupidity of some Punks. Yeah, some people may have issues with Cops...and some may question what happened and how. This isn't about that, it's a about a Good Man, a Good Cop and a Good Father who served his Community well and was taken too soon. So RIP Officer Diego Moreno, your Crew has your Watch now. Maybe take the time to watch the video's and learn about this Man, his memory is worth your time. https://komonews.com/news/local/service ... ce-officer

I attended and participated in the services along with fellow Honor Guard members from around this country and Canada. Probably nearly every municipality in Washington State was represented as well as New York, Idaho, Oregon, California and many others.
I had the opportunity to honor a true hero, father, husband and friend to many people. I placed my department patch and my teams HG coin among the others in Officer Moreno's rapidly growing collection prominently on display in the front foyer of the Showare Center.
No John, I did not forget my fallen comrade on this very somber day. I honored and admired his selfless courage, dedication to duty and commitment to the community he protected. God rest his soul.
I also met the Officer that this tragedy will haunt forever. I pray that he will be able to overcome the guilt and sorrow that inevitably overwhelm any righteous person in his position. I pray that he finds the forgiveness for himself that Diego Moreno's family, his peers and the community have already expressed.

I watched the entire event, a little over 4 hours, and was totally absorbed in the experience. Nothing compared to actually attending, I know. I've been to too many similar events, and do my crying alone now days.
I was compelled by the words of the Officer's family, friends, and collegues. To have made such an impact as such a young man is inspiring.
My ongoing thoughts and prayers are with his children, family and all those who will need forever to assuage the pain and emptyness left in the wake of Diego's passing.
To O11B, your guard, and all the other myriad of comrades that honored the Officer, I am grateful.
