Do i condone it? No, but he went big before he went home. I agree! One could argue that he tarnished the reputation of Horizon/Alaska, the Airport, etc. as well as probably hurt the pocket books of some investors. If hurting pocket books and reputation makes them implement more rules so this doesn't happen again on a wider and more deadly scale then that's all worth it.

Higher costs. Higher prices. Someone who is determined can still do it. I've been on airfields for decades ... this isn't that hard to do and others could do it if they really wanted to. The aircraft do not service themselves. If the terrorists were more interested in damage than symbolism, there would be more of these.

My point was if they can close some loopholes because of one guy stealing a plane and offing himself, then that's better for all of us. I have had experience at airports over the years delivering freight, and recently have been working at all the major ports and can tell you the loopholes in security are big enough to really fuck some shit up if someone truly wanted to.

so you all want to lock up everything, in the interest of safety.
Having been on the wrong side of the fence, preventing customers from accessing my office for a time............
FUCK, that SHIT.

I went to KSEA often as a contracted employee, but needed an escort due to not having an ID/Pass/clearance, whatever.
This included driving multiple vehicles on the ramps and taxiways.
Only once was my vehicle inspected, and it was poking a head in and saying 'ok'...
I routinely carried knives/boxcutters/etc in the secure area..... and it would have been child's play to bring a gun in and meet someone in a bathroom to give it to them.
I was close enough to kick tires of aircraft...
Security theatre is a great description.
It was like the curtain being pulled back.....
FYI, if you're in the Delta executive lounge or the 'other' smaller lounge, you can thank me for your soda machine and bar gun.

FUCK, that SHIT. Good god, did I mention the words "LOCK UP EVERYTHING"? Reading comprehension is difficult for some apparently. As is yours. Apparently you think I was responding directly at you. Scroll up. Two other jumped on your bandwagon and expanded on it. BTW. There are already rules against what happened at Sea-Tac.
