Time to renew the NRA membership. Any good deals that you're aware of?
Apparently I missed the Cabela's $25 gift certificate last month.

What do you get as a benefit of NRA membership, that causes you to search out the best deal instead of just giving them money? I've only been a member for 6 months, but isn't it basically a donation?

Yes it is essentially a donation, but occasionally cos like Cabelas and Sportsman’s Warehouse offer additional spiffs in the form of discounts. And if you are a sucker and register with the nra directly it costs $45 but I regularly see $25 offers, some of which include a duffel that gets smaller every year. They invited us to play the game, so I play it.

If they had the lowest price on their website there would be no game.

The Shooting USA guy always talks about how 'He' pays part of your fee, not sure how true that is.

Used to be $25, looks like its $30 now, but you do get a duffle, and probably lots of emails :wink05:

They usually have a deal on lifetime memberships after tragic events.
Got mine for $300.

I’ll tell you what not to do

Don’t sign up for a lifetime membership at the WAC show. They’ll charge you more, but make up for it by sending you a leather jacket that will sit in your closet for years. That’s until you get tired of moving it around and give it away in a PIF.

I also missed the Cabela's deal this time around. Bugger.

The NRA Life membership deal is still going on...last time I checked it was 500-600, and that can be made in quarterly payments.

Some gun magazine writer posted online after Sandy Hook to just call the number and use his name to get the deal.
Think about a million people signed up under him before they stopped the promo.
I posted it on several gun boards and others did the same.

Called in today and asked them to renew me at $25, no hassle, no fuss, if you please. They honored it.

Also, Sportsman's Warehouse is offering a $30 renewal that includes a $10 gift card.
