Only two bump stocks were voluntarily turned in to police before a new law banning them came into force on Oct. 1.

That's probably 100% compliance.

"Chris Bradley, head of the Vermont Federation of Sportsmen's Clubs, said that people were generally not inclined to abide by laws that infringed on their constitutional right to bear arms.

..."When confronted with a law they felt infringed on their rights, they too willingly became felons," Bradley said of New York residents"

That sums it up pretty nicely I think.

"In New Jersey, not a single person surrendered a bump stock device before a similar law took effect there. In Massachusetts, three devices were given to police."

I find those to be of a lot more importance than VT.

On top of that anyone who just thinks having a Republican means gun control is safe...VT's governor is a Rep and he signed these into law

Indeed - party is just a starting point. Check their history.

If there is little history or record, ask the politician. If you get no answer, anti. If you get the "but" answer, anti.

They don't actually care about getting guns or related items right away, the point is to slowly criminalize gun ownership and eventually turn all gun owners into criminals.
