North Dakota Dems Threaten Hunters with Loss of License for Voting

“ATTENTION HUNTERS: If you vote in North Dakota, you may forfeit hunting licenses you have in other states. If you want to keep your out-of-state hunting licenses, you may not want to vote in North Dakota,” the ad reads.

Silly Dems...dont think Hunters ever looked up a regulation or checked with a Gvt Agency.

The lazy ones will refrain from voting...so there's that.

And its a FB thing...so.

Those out of State license holders usually have money and that usually means they can class action.

That is complete bullshit and should be investigated by the FBI. I'm pretty sure that making threats to keep folks from voting is a federal felony... Voting in your home state has no bearing on being eligible for out-of-state tags in other states, nor your in-state tag in your home state... Fucking slimy weasels!

This certainly does seem to run up against voter suppression laws.

To vote in a state requires you to be a resident of that state correct?
So not giving them resident hunter permits seems as if it would be legit.

If you vote in ND, you would be a resident of ND right? So other states cancelling your resident permits seems to be legit as well.

but why would other states be cancelling permits for out of state hunters just for voting in their home state?

Out of state hunting is very popular and you need not be a resident of the state to get a permit.

Some states charge different rates for residents versus non-residents. $23 for a resident, $110 for a non-resident in VA. $22 instead of $100 in New York. Big game in WA, Deer+Elk+Bear+Cougar License $95.50 for a resident, $860.00 for a non-resident. And I'm sure that many of the other 47 states are similar.

There's no mention of resident versus out-of-state permits in the wording of the ad. Clicking on the link in the Facebook message takes you to this text -- https://demnpl.com/by-voting-in-north-dakota-you-could-forfeit-your-hunting-licenses/

My brothers and sisters there are chomping at the bit to vote her out. Plus residents who have ever hunted in North Dakota don’t see the need to hunt in other states unless they want to go after bighorn sheep, or mountain goats. Residents some years get a chance to get 4 deer tags to fill their freezers on top of multiple chances for speed goats. Archery season there starts August 30 and goes to January 1. So yeah Nodak Dems threaten them with that, see how long the line gets for you and your friends in the unemployment line.

That ad is pretty vaguely worded, but here’s how I read it:

If I’m a North Dakota resident and I vote in North Dakota, then other states may revoke my non-resident hunting license.
