I dunno. Cops got there. Bad guy detained. No further injuries. No one killed. Legally armed citizen won't have to pay outrageous legal fees just because he wanted to do the right thing.
Maybe not the best form, but it's about the best possible outcome. P. The bad guy also got tased, dropped like a sack of potatoes, and probably pissed his pants. Self Defense or Defense of Other, State pays legal fees if exonerated. This is why very few prosecutors file charges in cases of Self Defense (or others) when the facts are as clear as they are in this case. Citizen used excellent judgement IMHO. Video doesn't show what was behind the knife wielding individual. Shooting may well have killed or injured any number of people behind him if a shot missed.
