When I respond to something here, it not so much to change the mind of the OP as I believe they generally aren't gonna budge, but it's for the hundreds to thousands (on larger online communities such as those on Facebook) of other readers who need to see bad logic dismantled, such as the "I'm not a one issue voter" line. That's a dangerous philosophy to spread, and if it infects enough people, then we're in trouble, it gets turds like joe biden elected.

Agreed.

I will add, though, that if I was out to change people's minds, I wouldn't bother.

When you see me making an argument, it's usually pretty much for two reasons.

1. I know that regardless of the faces put forward here, pretty much every one of you yahoos has a good heart. I am just trying to keep that from being passed over, and unnoticed in the general melee of poking fun at each other. Or even downright fighting.

And two, I care.

Then, there's this. I am not out to change minds, or to win battles. I know that all I have to do is to say something. If what I said, was worth anything at all, then eventually it will soak in, no matter what kind of bluff, rebuff, misunderstanding, or insult it was met with when I said it.

If it wasn't worth anything, then good riddance and cheap lesson learned.

Derrick, you made some judgment statements about who you were voting for, who others were voting for, etc. Then you were asked a specific question about an official King County website and its announcement on what Inslee, Constantine, McDermott and Zahilay plan on doing with your guns. You going to answer?

Can you explain why you are voting for people who have announced plans to ban your firearm possession locally? Do you concede this website, exists, who made it and that they are serious?
https://kingcountycantwait.org/

Read the bottom and focus on their post preemption repeal plans. Do you know what preemption is? Do you know how many bills to repeal it have been filed in the last 5 years?

I answered as much as I'm going to already. I don't think there's any value in going down that line of questioning anymore.

I'm just one person. I'm not the entirety of the blue vote in king county.

I used to think that in order to survive, we gun owners were going to need to somehow, win over democrats who still believed in protecting the second amendment. The problem is, while there used to be a good number of Rural democrats in the senate and house that strongly believed in protecting the right to bear arms their own party began to work to get them out of power for people that were more in line to their main party goals. The very problems we face in our very state result from that shift. Eastern Washington democrats in order to keep their seats were predominately pro-gun, but they lose party money if they don't vote with their party on key issues, and now the progressives do not care about winning that seat because they are willing to bet they can get another democrat back in the next cycle that is towing the party line. Honestly unless we can get all of the East side and all of the Rural west side to vote Republican you will not see a change in party dynamic and that is the reason we cannot trust the democrats who run this state more crooked than Mayor Daily ever ran Chicago. Sure there might be a few good ones trying govern with reason, their might have been a few good people who were in the Nazi party too, but when you add up the sum of all the rest of what their cohorts do you still count them on the side of evil.

Really the problem is of ideals. Democrats believe in Socialism and big government solutions and those ideals and individual freedoms CANNOT coexist. It doesn't matter how pro-gun or pro-free speech a Democrat is, eventually their big government solutions will find a way to get rid of freedoms as they will get in the way of their quest for unlimited power.

At this point anyone planning on voting for Biden needs to have their head examined, he is not fit to be president of a glee club, much less the most powerful nation on the planet

Ps. Yes I am a gun owner. No I'm not a sleeper troll. I've been around here and have bought and sold for some time.

Can you try and answer questions that are given to you, that are relevant, and on topic?

Fair enough, but if you're not going to answer these questions then I humbly suggest stop commenting about how the rest of us vote and who we vote for. Deal?

Welcome back. We need to hear opposing viewpoints as long as we can keep the attacks to a minimum. That goes both ways. Trump is getting easy to hate, his Twitter account should have been taken away a long time ago. It's a shame we can't get better choices when it comes to our elected leaders. Seems like you have to be a douche to be a candidate. That said I think Trump is a better choice than Biden and not just because of guns. Inslee needs to go he has hurt this state almost as much as the idiots running seattle

Sounds like a plan.

1. Disparage an entire group, you claim to share something in common with.
2. Make outlandish comments without citation or source, ignore questions seeking clarification on those comments, then play the victim.
3. ?????
4. Profit.

That's it, I'm taking away your cake privileges..

TW, there is no path here where you pepper him with questions, he gives answers that aren’t correct, you say “aha!” and he says, “oh my god you’re right, MAGA.”

It’s a nice fantasy. And that’s all it is.

That's not the idea.

The idea is to spark some critical thinking, or at the very least, acknowledge it's an opinion, and not fact, and opinions shouldn't be spouted as fact.
