No need to make shit up, get them out on the rules. Not "because". When the Gateway Pundit is in SUPPORT of a CNN reporter, you know you dun fucked up.

Well THAT's disengenuous... In your short time here, nearly every one of your posts is antagonistic... Now, if you want to ask what I meant by my post, I was trying to show that, despite his animosity towards CNN, Trump has given CNN, and their idiot Acosta, more fairness and airtime, than Obama ever showed people who challenged and disagreed with him... You can dislike how Tump reacts, but he's been more fair allowing the questions...until Acosta kept crossing the line of decorum. Kind of funny, people want Trump to be more dignified...perhaps he would be, if he were treated the same as his predecessors.

You can talk and make excuses until the cows come home, but the bottom line still is.....IT WAS A SETUP. Intentionally calling on a guy who he KNEW that he could make a scene over. I don't have a problem with that tactic, but to say it was something else is total nonsense. There were HOW MANY reporters in the room?

I do not think that it had to be a setup at all. I lean towards mislabeled's characterization of the situation.
Obama didn't call on "difficult" reporters as a setup, and I don't think that Trump does either. He's just not afraid of calling on someone who he knows is hostile. I'd go so far as to speculate that hard questions are the goals. Trump doesn't strike me as the kind of guy who wants to be served slow softballs over the plate. That doesn't mean the same thing as setting someone up.

I’m in favor of removing the TV cameras from the press briefing room. For the major press conferences, the new rules requiring professionalism and common courtesy should curtail the grandstanding. How many other reporters are now pissed at JA for forcing the WH to have to create new rules to be implemented where none had existed before?

Yep, you remove the TV cameras and this problem solves itself. If the reporters only have actual questions and answers to put into their stories -- and if the Acosta-style nonsense means there are fewer questions and answers for them to report on -- then simple peer pressure will snap the disruptors back in line.
