If anyone uses rifle rods, I’d recommend making your own. I’ve made 6 of them using 18 inch x 1/8 brass welding rods ($15/10 on Amazon). I took a scrap piece of 1 1/8 in dowell rod and cutt some disks (about 1/4 - 1/2) of it. Drilled a 1/8 hole near the center, dropped a spot of glue on the end of the rod and pushed it in. then I cut some Velcro for the end.

I tested the first one in the safe and it held its weight for a week, so I used in on a rifle. then made the other 5. They are not pretty, but they are cost effective and work.
