The strange thing about this kerfuffle is that I agree with Mr root on the vast majority of the factual points that he brings up.

I'm a libertarian (lower case "L") not a GOP fan boy. Facts are though, that among the 2 major parties running this nation, GOP is the half that is closest to my goals regarding 2A. I vote pro 2A, not by political party. It usually turns out that that means putting my check mark next to the R candidate. So be it.

I find fault with all political parties... Because I look at each issue as independently as I'm able to. I think it is a pretty rare person who is going to agree with every line in one political party's stated platform.

Voters need to realign themselves as well. The tea-party attempted to do so but were subsumed by those very same forces they sought to counter.

we've seen this coming for quite some time now. Bumpstocks being illegal really doesn't bother me as you don't need a bump stock to bump fire a rifle. The one that gets me is the crank handle. I was hoping to build a 1919 some day and put a crank handle on it...
