Hey, 40 million-plus customers already had their data hacked at Target back in 2013. Why not be a good chap and help them rebuild those databases?

It happened to me today at total wine. I asked what for and the guy said to eliminate human error. Bull shit, I'm 47 and couldn't possibly be confused for a minor.

I'm in my 50's and some of the checkers at the Safeway up the street ask for my birthdate. So I give them one.
It's not my birthdate, but is indeed a valid birthdate. Gotta be someones.

I put tape over the barcodes on the back of my license. Fuck them recording all your info. It’s bullshit.

Probably illegal, but it would be interesting to see the reactions if you came up as 200 years old. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The data should only be used to verify age, should be erased at the end of the night automatically. The information should only be stored on the scanning software with no access from the store. Key word is "should" who really knows where it goes as it is connected to the internet. I dont have an enhanced id and it gets scanned at more and more places.
