About time for some LEGAL immigration. If they sneak in, they should be immediately deported along with their kids, and barred from applying for asylum and legal status for at least 3 years. https://www.chicagotribune.com/news/nat ... story.htmlThe Trump administration has won the support of Mexico's incoming government for a plan to remake U.S. border policy by requiring asylum seekers to wait in Mexico while their claims move through U.S. courts, according to Mexican officials and senior members of president-elect Andrés Manuel López Obrador's transition team. The agreement would break with long-standing asylum rules and place a formidable new barrier in the path of Central American migrants attempting to reach the United States and escape poverty and violence. By reaching the accord, the Trump administration has also overcome Mexico's historic reticence to deepen cooperation with the United States on an issue widely seen here as America's problem. According to outlines of the plan, known as Remain in Mexico, asylum applicants at the border will have to stay in Mexico while their cases are processed, potentially ending the system Trump decries as "catch and release" that has until now generally allowed those seeking refuge to wait on safer U.S. soil.

The policy/law SHOULD be that if you sneak in you are deported regardless of any sad story, unless you have a death warrant on your head.
Those deported who want asylum, get a court date in X years. Rather than chasing folks around in our borders who never show up for court dates, these folks would have incentives to come to their court date. I'm even comfortable paying for their transportation as it's a LOT cheaper than 22 million illegals that we support and who don't bother showing up to court, and all the allied problems with this system.

Heard that Mexico isn’t on board with this https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&source=web&cd=&ved=2ahUKEwjtveW85e7eAhWqh1QKHSxFA6MQzPwBegQIARAC&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.theguardian.com%2Fus-news%2F2018%2Fnov%2F24%2Ftrump-border-policy-asylum-seekers-mexico-agrees&psig=AOvVaw0n_U2AF58QNjBti_kbhdmj&ust=1543209489588873Quote: Mexico’s incoming government has denied reaching a deal with the Trump administration to allow asylum seekers to wait in Mexico while their claims are heard in the United States.
“No agreement of any kind exists between Mexico’s future federal government and the United States of America,” the office of incoming interior minister, Olga Sánchez Cordero, said in a Saturday statement.
“The future government is not considering in its plans that Mexico assumes the role of ‘safe third country’ for Central American migrants or [migrants] from other countries, who find themselves in Mexican territory,” the statement added. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If they dont not agree, shut all boarder crossing down. Give it a few days and Re-ask them again.

I still don't understand why this is even a discussion. Any other country, if you enter illegally you are thrown in a cell then deported. No trial, no questions just kicked out.

If he closes the border, even if it's for just a short time, Mexico will be flooded with immigrants they don't want to support. If they can't dump them in the US then they need to stop them from entering in the first place. Mexico is going to have to deal with the corruption among their officials as well. People are aware that they can cross the border by merely paying the "mordida" to any official (Police, border guard, etc) that they encounter. Funny thing, Mexico's Southern Border is a lot shorter and easier to defend than the one between the US and Mexico. You'd think they could do it a lot easier than our Border Patrol. It is kind of reassuring in a way that we're hearing of Mexican citizens getting upset over their country being used as a highway from Central America to the US. Apparently these migrants are trashing their route just like they do on their paths across the border into the US. As for the drug cartels that are extracting fee's from migrants to cross into the US, maybe it's time to contract with Israel's Kidon department in their Mossad to weed them out. This department controls the assassins that Mossad uses around the world to derail plots against Israel around the world. If we aren't willing to go after these cartel's as we once did when we sent army troops after Poncho Villa then maybe we should "contract it out".

I think Trump set this up to play his hand earlier...
Getting Mexico to offer ID's, jobs, etc., to those in the caravan back in October, has the potential to change the US's obligations and/or responsibilities

If they do cross our border illegally and are eventually deported, rather than being deported to their home countries like Honduras, Guatemala, and Nicaragua, they'll just be pushed through a rotating gate at the Mexican border. Next day they could be back across the border illegally.

But now, as far as international & US law, this is no longer their first safe haven after leaving their country, so it has the potential to change the dynamic of US obligations
