I agree, more of a hassle, but that isn't why i've really slowed down. I basically filled all the niches i wanted to. Now it's going to take a great deal or a very unique piece for me to buy something

I am with Duke on this, I haven`t seen anything I "Have to have" So I have been building up on mags, ammo and silver instead.

I'd love to buy used, love to support someone's new build, love to take someone's castoffs. As was said earlier, I can so often find what I'm looking for online, shipped and transferred for same or less $$ than many people are asking for in the classifieds. At some point local sellers are going to have to realize that due to the supply glut, the price they paid for something really has no influence on their selling price.

Problem I see most of the time is private sellers often charge the same as MSRP or even higher. Don't want to fight or argue or have them 'get offended' at a 'lowball' so I don't bother. This applies to 95% of the stuff I see at the WAC too.

Thurston county sheriff says that unless you know they are prohibited, he doesn't care. Most of us here have gone by the if you have a CPL rule.

594 has sorta backfired for them IMO. Less used guns being traded, and more brand new guns being bought since one has to do the FFL anyway. This has ironically INCREASED the number of guns in the state. :ROFLMAO: :rofl9:

I organized a group buy, for instance, that brought like 30 shotguns into the state! Eat that libtards!

I get great glee in buying a gun so the hand-wringing libtards cry. I'm on so many lists it doesn't matter any more. For me, it's a hassle but I follow the law and go thru the FFL and my patterns haven't changed much. Pre594, about 1/2 my guns were thru FFLs. Now, all are. Eh, congrats libtards. You've inconvenienced me! Big victory...

The $$ for the fee is going to support the gun store at 100% profit margin. So I'm not terribly upset.
:thumbsup2:
The biggest is inconvenience since it's sometimes hard to find a transfer FFL at odd times or Sundays in certain areas. Between the added 30 minutes each time doing the paperwork, and longer drive - I've had to drive a long distance on a few occasions - that would have been much easier, in a parking lot. But I do have more confidence that the person I'm meeting won't rob me, and the gun isn't stolen... so that's an actual added benefit. A few times I've walked away from shady deals with shady people pre-594.

But if I see something I want, the paperwork just makes the liberals cry and tells the state I exercise my 2A rights and puts a few bucks in the FFL's pocket....

Leadcounsel that is an AMAZING way of framing all of this. You’re right, it is bringing more guns into the state.

I came here to post what LC wrote.

I have not bought any used guns since 594. But I buy MORE new guns than ever. If you guys recall we brought up that exact point about 594.

I buy 80% now..........too. :thumbsup2: :wagwoot:

I've been killing it on the used market. Latest was a $500 2015 model Stainless Colt Commander XSE with a new black cerakote job and hardly ever fired. It is beautiful. Felt like I stole it. :thumbsup2:

Blasphemy.....

Cerakote on a Stainless XSE

It'd be like painting Elvis's '55 Fleetwood blue or green.
