Apparently you've never responded to a fatal car accident where the causing driver was so stoned they just sat on the ground saying "what did I hit man?"
Marijuana and driving is nothing new. I had the misfortune to arrive at fatal accident scenes when I drove an ambulance in Seattle during the 1960's (before SFD aid cars). The older the person the stronger the smell of alcohol. The younger drivers more often smelled of pot. Often the victims smelled of neither.
Want to smoke pot, stay home, sit on your couch, and eat all you want. There are enough mind altered people on the highway already.
BTW, an insurance study in states that legalized pot showed that accident rates are UP compared to similar states that have not. Other studies are showing that blood testing of drivers arrested for impaired driving are increasingly showing the presence of THC in combination with other drugs, often with Alcohol as well.
