Bought a Marmot tent for $15. Expected to be missing parts and poles. Forgot about it and years later took it for a buddy for him to use and it was complete. $150 tent brand new.

I have picked up a couple Optimus 8r stoves $8 a piece, my current Rockchucker for $8, more flannel shirts then I can count a good half dozen back packs for a few dollars a piece three or four white gas stoves and white gas lanterns at $8, two cam lock pressure cookers for a few bucks on and on. I usually hit the Good Will at least once a week and fishing reels I have more then I will ever use.

Last week I brought home a pair of mint condition Advent Baby II speakers for $2.99.

I have made so many "junk shop" scores I would not know where to start. Most folks tellme I should open a museum.

It gets real bad when you start checking "goodwill.com" every night too!!

Happy hunting!

The last good score I got is a cast iron mortar and pestle. Probably used in the 19th century pharmaceuticals. I’ll get a photo of it here in a few
Here. Its marked with a 6. And it six inches tall and six inches wide at the top. It was covered in rust.
I soaked it in vinegar for about a week. Then wire wheeled it. Then seasoned like a cast iron pan.
I paid four dollars and change for it.

Gotta admit, I a tad bit jealous! :thumbsup2:

The size of that one is great if you want to add liquid after crushing ingredients...

Do you have a guess on the weight? Just curious

I got a bag of 20 Titlist Pro V1 golf balls at the Lynnwood Goodwill for $3. A couple had been used but the rest looked new.

Also found a number of good tools for pennies on the dollar. That's the first section I check when I get there.

Pair of beautiful ca. 1950's 18k gold drop/chandelier earrings, mixed in with costume jewellery. Paid $3.32 for them. Even at scrap price they're worth about $750, give or take a hundred--they're heavy.

I still don't know how the store missed them. It was the Jubilee Reach thrift store up on 148th NE.

Both of the monitors I have attached to this computer, came from goodwill.

12 bucks for one, 19 bucks for the other.

One is a plasma, apparently, and has a problem with things 'burning in' on the screen. The other is fine.

Both are obviously usable, in my estimation.
