To be fair, there's less snow here than in W WA right now. But the big difference is the number of people and the preparation out here.
It was fun to people watch in the Tri-Cities though. I'll be politically correct and say there are a large number of people there who were born and raised in a warmer part of the world and don't know how to drive in the snow...and don't buy Subarus and other AWD cars. But they buy trucka de Quatro e Quatro..

Aren't icicles supposed to be good luck er sumptin? I couldn't get a good angle on this one, but it's almost 5 feet long, and is as big around as my wrist. That's the biggest free hanging one I've seen. Also have one that is more than 8 feet long, and bigger around than my forearm, that has formed along a rope.

Port Angeles, Saturday morning - 24 inches at the house. Driveway is 450 ft to the house from the road. 2 days of shoveling to get to the road. Last night, another 5 inches. Snowing like a motherfucker here for the last hour or so. Fuck global warming.

Been snowing off & on most of the morning, not really accumulating here in Des Moines...
But lately, it's been snowing steadily with huge flakes, and shoveled walkway is covering over.

Snowmageddon! Uncle Sam gave us the day off. Guess it's too dangerous for us to be driving around on the roads near post. Woke up to snow at 0600. Came down pretty lightly. Now in the afternoon it is raining, what the heck is going on with this weather?
